PROBLEM STATEMENT

Wells Fargo's design component systems are out of date, workflow from product to engineering lags, their design system and Confluence documentation was too large to keep optimized.

GOALS

  • Analyze and understand current component set, discover gaps, evaluate UI frame work shortcomings.
  • Remove deprecated component objects, recommend new components, document new parameters.
  • Identify new library best practices, key system custodians and terms of use.

DESIGN RESEARCH

  • Thoroughly inventory existing component library assets, processes, artifacts, key people.
  • Drove consensus on component library optimizations, strategy, documentation.
