Problem Statement

Customers lacked both a sufficient way to organize their music libraries, and an engaging iOS app for acquisition and on-boarding growth targets.

Goals

  • Deploy a usable iOS app to help users ID any given song to generate new acquisition opportunities.
  • Create a retro, fun and functional engagement tool based on song ID and device libraries.
  • Create iOS app as partnering tool with key media space actors.

Design Research

  • Working fast, I quickly wireframed basic user flows of key application in Axure.
  • I quickly prototyped and iterated on multiple versions for review and testing.
  • I worked with head of product and CEO to quickly evaluate iOS and desktop apps.

  • Deployed successful song ID app with main SAAS app.
  • Successfully onboarded 7% new customers over measured quarters.
  • App became #1 iTunes plugin over duration of product testing.
